Air China Launches New Beijing-Sapporo Service |
|
Chinese flag carrier Air China will open a new non-stop service between the capital city of Beijing, its hub, and the northern Japanese city of Sapporo. The service will start on April 18.

Sapporo, the main city on the northern island of Hokkaido, will be Air China's seventh destination in Japan. Air China presently offers more than 230 weekly flights between China and Japan, connecting China to the six major Japanese cities: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sendai, and Hiroshima. The new service (flight CA169/170) will be offered twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The outbound CA169 will depart Beijing at 8:00 a.m., arriving Sapporo at 1:00 p.m. Returning flight CA170 will depart Sapporo at 2:00 p.m., arriving back in Beijing at 5:00 p.m. (all times local).
In addition to its own service, Air China code-shares with Japan's All Nippon Airways on routes between the two countries. 'We are pleased to offer this dedicated Beijing - Sapporo non-stop service,' said Mrs. Zhang Lan, Senior Vice President for Air China. 'By opening yet another route between China and Japan, Air China continues to expand its excellent network and offer attractive, comfortable travel to passengers in northeast Asia and beyond.'
As China's sole designated flag carrier and the Airline Partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Air China (HKEX: 0753; LSE: AIRC; SSE: 601111) serves 74 domestic and 38 international cities with an extensive network from its Beijing hub, conveniently linking passengers between China and destinations around the world. Air China continues to attract increasing international recognition as a world-class carrier and enjoys a growing reputation for high quality service, known for its traditional Chinese warmth and welcome. In North America, Air China serves New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Vancouver with non-stop service to Beijing.
